Assistance in the clarification of the residence status and in everyday questions are received by people of all nationalities in the refugee council. The offers of the Refugee Council are aimed at asylum seekers and refugees. The counselling is in general free of charge, irrespective of religion and confidential. The Refugee Council helps to clarify the status of residence, advises on the asylum procedure and also on the return. Often it is about communicating, for example to other authorities, institutions or counseling centers, to lawyers or to schools. The Refugee Council represents the interests of the refugees against authorities and other institutions and seeks cooperation with these partners. The refugee council also sees itself as a contact exchange point and initiates various groups in which women and men from all nationalities can meet and exchange ideas.
