Museum of the country Württemberg
The old castle in the heart of Stuttgart has more than 1.000 years of history. Today the mighty building complex with its magnificent arcaded courtyard houses the Landesmuseum Württemberg. Its high-caliber collections invite you to a journey through the history of Wurttemberg. Here the past is alive and near. More than 1.000 exciting objects await visitors. Renaissance period statues and glass from four thousand years - the collections in the clock vault and in the glass cellar show further highlights of European art. In the immediate vicinity of the Old Castle, the Landesmuseum presents historical instruments in the fruit box at the Schillerplatz, and Roman Weihestein in the Roman Lapidarium in the new castle.
